Sales promotion of PFAS products such as hydrofluoroether (HFE), perfluorocarbon (PFC), and perfluoropolyether (PFPE)

In CHORI, we handle a wide range of PFAS products, such as fluorite (calcium fluoride) (CaF2), anhydrous hydrofluoric acid (AHF), ammonium fluoride, potassium fluoride, aluminum fluoride, R-22, R-23, C3F6 (HFP) (hydrofluoropropene), FKM (fluororubber), fluororesins such as PTFE and PVDF, fluorine solvents (liquids) (refrigerants) such as hydrofluoroether (HFE), perfluorocarbon (PFC), perfluoropolyether (PFPE), and ionic liquid with fluorine anions.
In addition, while there are concerns about tight supply of hydrofluoroether (HFE), perfluorocarbon (PFC), and perfluoropolyether (PFPE) due to major European and American companies’ withdrawal from PFAS products, we have over 30 kinds of substitutes available.

On the other hand, the PFAS regulations promoted by Europe is wide-ranging in scope, and there are concerns that they will have a serious impact on the semiconductor market, precision electronic parts market, lithium-ion secondary battery (LiB battery) market, and transparent antistatic agent market. 
The lack of scientific basis for this case is being a major issue, as well.

To deal with this situation, CHORI submitted a public comment to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) on September 22, 2023. Regarding our public comment, Zhejiang Aide (the world’s largest ionic liquid manufacturer and our exclusive distributor) and China’s Guangdong Battery Industry Association have also submitted public comments agreeing with us.

Through ionic liquids and PFAS products, CHORI is committed to work with all stakeholders to realize a healthy and sustainable society.
