The best country for investment in renewable energy field in Americas: announced by Ministry of Energy in Chile
On December 23, 2021, the Chilean Ministry of Energy announced that Chile got evaluated in the Bloomberg Climate scope ranking, as the best country in Americas to invest in the renewable energy field.
This week, the Ministry of Energy announced that Bloomberg New Energy Finance has released the Climate scope 2021, which summarizes the ranking of the most attractive countries to invest in the clean energy sector, and Chile got evaluated in the Bloomberg Climate scope ranking, as the best country in Americas to invest in the renewable energy field, overtaking Brazil, Canada, and the United States. (Between the emerging countries in the world, Chile ranked second after India.) Also, it’s announced that Chile has been placed at the top of the ranking in this four years, and is a regional leader in the energy sector.
According to the same report, it is informed that Chile succeeded in raising 4.6 billion US dollars for the clean energy (principally solar and wind) investment by 2020, and their next goal is being able to sell only zero-emission vehicles in Chile by 2035, formulating the national electromobility strategy.
Also, since Energy Efficiency Law and Air Conditioning Strategy were enacted in 2021, the advancement in the process to promote energy efficiency in Chile got highlighted.
