Political situation in Chile (December 2022)

According to the “Chilean Political Situation Report (December)” issued by the Embassy of Japan in Chile, the latest political situation in the country can be summarized as below.:

Major Chilean political parties have indicated that they agree on the new constitutional process, and the approvement of final draft will be decided for a national referendum (compulsory voting) as previous.
The referendum is scheduled to be taken place in December 2023.

Also, the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the completion of domestic procedures for the entry into force of the TPP11, which has been attracting attention recently, and reported this to New Zealand that is the depositary country.
